4 Networks conference Bratislava 2025: Making the Environmental Crime Directive work

The 4 European environmental crime enforcement networks, IMPEL, EnviCrimeNet, ENPE & EUFJE held their biennial joint conference on 21-22 May 2025 in Bratislava castle, Bratislava, Slovakia.

Over 220 delegates attended from across Europe and beyond, with a further 150 joining online to hear, share and discuss in detail the articles of the new Environmental Crime Directive - Directive (EU) 2024/1203 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 April 2024.  

The conference was an opportunity to share procedures, methodologies and discuss practical work in enforcing environmental crime with many Member States represented alongside European organisations such as Eurojust, EUROPOL, CEPOL, EEA and EJTN.  

A conference electronic magazine ('E-zine') will soon be shared with the conference proceedings included as well as interviews, speaker and delegate perspectives and extracts from presentations.
